Hanover County held its 8th Disaster Survivor Day
program on March 11, 2017.
The event, sponsored by Central Virginia Public Safety and
Emergency Management and presented by local officials, drew 200 people to the
Board room at Hanover Courthouse on a beautiful Saturday morning.
Presented by representatives of the Hanover Sheriff’s
Office, Hanover Fire/EMS, the Chickahominy District Health Department and the
County’s Public Information office, topics focused on how to survive both natural
and manmade disasters as well as how to help one's neighbors and the community.
